30 years ParisTech

To celebrate its anniversary and pay tribute to those who have made its history over the past 30 years, the ParisTech network is pleased to present its book "30 years of training in science and technology" published in digital and paper formats.

ParisTech celebrated in 2021 its 30 years of existence and, more specifically, the desire of prestigious graduate engineering schools to join forces in order to enrich and promote excellent French engineering education around the world. In 1991, eight prestigious graduate engineering schools, including six of ParisTech's member schools, decided to make their schools and their training more visible, particularly on the international scene. This led to the creation of the Association des Grandes Écoles d'Ingénieurs de Paris, which became ParisTech in 1999.

"Today, the ParisTech schools still share the same vision and reaffirm their desire to work together to promote French excellent engineering education, to improve and develop it, and to open it up socially and internationally. (...) the ParisTech network has been able to renew itself to stay in step with its environment and consolidate its base. This commitment and, I would even say, this faith, have borne fruit since the engineering education provided by our schools has been recognized for many years in France and internationally in various rankings, by companies and students." Christian Lerminiaux, President of ParisTech

In producing this special book, ParisTech wanted to highlight its origin, its history, and the actions and projects carried out jointly by the schools. ParisTech is a strong brand synonymous with excellence for education, students, companies and social diversity, reflecting the values and strengths that unite the network's members. This book is an opportunity to put a face on those who have been part of its history for many years: the students, the academic and administrative staff of the schools, and the companies, in a French higher education landscape that is undergoing major changes.

The joint actions of the ParisTech schools are based on shared values that are the ground basis for training the engineers of tomorrow.
