Thanks to these double degrees the students in engineering have the opportunity:
- Develop additional skills to those acquired during their studies in engineering,
- Open to transdisciplinarity at national and international level.
This responds to the versatility and transversality needs expressed by companies. A candidate with a double degree will have doubled their operational skills. But the student will also have more open-minded, will be able to integrate more easily in the company, will be familiar with cross-functional issues and will have a greater maturity.
Over the past five years, between 2013 and 2018, 95 students have benefited from this exchange opportunities within the ParisTech network: 25 engineers, 50 double-degree engineers, 14 master's students and 6 PhD candidates.
Double degrees between ParisTech schools are following:
ParisTech schools have also created double degrees with French grandes écoles outside ParisTech. These include:

etc.
Last but not least, ParisTech schools have develop together a network of international partners, particularly in the emerging countries, and therefore double degrees with them.
