ParisTech takes part in the second Franco-Siberian Higher Education Fair

The second edition of the "Franco-Siberian Higher Education Fair", which should have taken place in Irkutsk, took place "online" over two days, on 22 and 23 September 2020, in order to maintain the bonds of friendship between Siberian and French universities and to discuss current issues of collaboration.

ParisTech schools participated in the Franco-Siberian Higher Education Fair organized online on 22 and 23 September 2020 to discuss with the most important Siberian universities in the region on opportunities for future collaboration and academic exchanges. The Siberian side was represented: Novosibirsk National University (NSU), Novosibirsk National Pedagogical University (NSPU), Novosibirsk National University of Architecture and Construction (SIBSTRIN), Tomsk National Research University (TSU), Tomsk National Polytechnic University (NPU), Tomsk University of Control Systems and Radio Electronics (TUSUR), Irkutsk National University (ISU), Irkutsk National Medical University (ISMU), Irkutsk National Technical Research University ISTU (IRNITU), Baikal University (BSU), Buryatia National University (Ulan-Ude, BSU), Tyumen National University (TymSU), Northeast Federal National University (Yakutsk, SVFU), Siberian Federal National University (Krasnoyarsk, SFU).

These two days were also an opportunity to consolidate ParisTech's agreements with Tomsk State University (TSU) and Novosibirsk State University (NSU). Indeed, several schools confirmed this cooperation by signing a double degree agreement: Chimie ParisTech with Tomsk State University (TSU), and Agro ParisTech, Chimie ParisTech, Ecole des Ponts ParisTech, MINES ParisTech and Institut d'Optique with Novosibirsk State University (NSU). These two days were an opportunity to once again affirm the importance of these collaborations for all the institutions.

Every year, the ParisTech schools recruit around ten Russian students from these universities who make the effort to learn French in order to enter the engineering cycle in their second year, after a first year master's degree at their home university: the students thus hold a double degree (master's degree from the Russian university / engineering degree from the ParisTech school that hosts them), ready for an international engineering career.
