ParisTech at Delta Global Learning Week

ParisTech Asia Office took part in Delta Global Learning Week. Our team met students from Zhejiang University, the University of Science and Technology of China and Nanjing University.

A week of exchanges on international mobility

Delta Global Learning Week took place from 13 to 18 November, a week of meetings with students and discussions on international mobility. Delta Global Learning Week brought together three renowned universities in the Yangtze River Delta region of China. The week-long initiative brought together Nanjing University's NJU Global Study Fair, the USTC Global VISTA Day organised by the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and Zhejiang University's ZJU Global Learning Fair.

Students interested in ParisTech schools

The Global Learning Week program included campus visits, fairs and presentations allowing ParisTech to showcase the unique characteristics of its courses, its academic strengths and collaborative initiatives.  This agenda has not only fostered international collaboration, but has also opened doors for potential students to explore the diverse training opportunities offered by ParisTech. Students are very interested by short exchange programs (summer program, winter program) lasting one or two months. They are looking for an initial short experience abroad before embarking on a master's or doctorate program lasting several years.

The students were very curious. They asked many questions about ParisTech's training programs. USTC’s students were particularly interested by the ParisTech International Admission Program that allows international students to join the schools in the second year of the science and engineering training program at master level, as well as by the ParisTech-CSC PhD program (application open till December 10, 2023). The students wanted more information on the admission criteria for joining an engineering cycle or doing a PhD in one of the ParisTech schools. Some candidates wanted to propose a PhD topic as part of this programme, and many were interested in finding out more about the topics on offer online and how to contact the supervisors.

Fostering relationships and collaboration

Delta Global Learning Week is a unique opportunity for ParisTech to foster meaningful relationships with institutions in the Yangtze River Delta region. By engaging in open dialogues and knowledge sharing, ParisTech aims to strengthen ties with its academic counterparts, paving the way for future collaborations in research, student exchanges and joint academic programs. This spirit of collaboration is aligned with ParisTech's commitment to promoting a global perspective in education and research.

Strengthening partnerships

ParisTech's active participation in Delta Global Learning Week shows its commitment to fostering international collaboration, enriching students' educational experience and contributing to the global exchange of knowledge. Through this initiative, ParisTech is not only showcasing its academic excellence, but is also actively engaged in building bridges with institutions in the Yangtze River Delta region. As the global higher education landscape continues to evolve, collaborative efforts such as Delta Global Learning Week play a crucial role in creating a more interconnected and enriched academic community. ParisTech looks forward to contributing to the success of this initiative and forging lasting partnerships in the pursuit of excellence in education and research.
