New stages in co-operation between partners in the École d’ingénieurs ParisTech Shanghai Jiao Tong (SPEIT)
For the 50th anniversary of Franco-Chinese diplomatic relations, the École d’ingénieurs ParisTech Shanghai Jiao Tong (SPEIT) organised the Science and Culture Month at Shanghai from 26 April to 24 May 2014.
Many scientific and cultural conferences with known figures, such as Serge Haroche - the Nobel Prize in Physics 2012 laureate - and Cédric Villani - the Fields Medal winner in 2010 - were offered.
Additionally, following initiatives taken during Zhang Jie's visit, the President of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, the École d’ingénieurs ParisTech Shanghai Jiao Tong (SPEIT), is now entering a new phase of internationalisation with the intake of engineering students from the four ParisTech Grandes Écoles involved in the double degree agreements. The goal is to increase interaction between ParisTech Shanghai Jiao Tong and the four ParisTech partner Grandes Écoles (École Polytechnique, ENSTA ParisTech, MINES ParisTech and Telecom ParisTech), mainly through exchange semesters.
As a next step, exchange with the École in Shanghai will be open to other Grandes Écoles within the ParisTech group.
